Thank you for visiting! I’m Susan Lee and I started Webdetta to help small businesses succeed by using proven digital marketing techniques.
This blog will focus primarily on the diverse aspects of online marketing from content to SEO and everything in between. But there’s a twist.
In order to live a passionate and fulfilled life, you need balance. You are more than your business or career, you are an emotional, physical, creative and spiritual being with varied interests and multiple callings. My goal is to weave all aspects of awesome living into one handy, dandy blog.
The inspiration for this blog came from two sources: a talk I gave at Texas State University and a book I read by Tim Ferriss.
I was blessed to be asked to speak to the marketing department at Texas State three years in a row. The talk evolved each time until I was finally able to give it a name that fit: How to Win in Life and Marketing. Many students shared with me how the talk changed their perception of success. They were motivated and encouraged to be their best and to see their faults in a whole new light. Guess what, the talk changed me to0; so much so that I’ve decided to write a book based on it.
Tim Ferriss, is an entrepreneur, investor and writer of the best-seller, The 4-Hour Workweek. His concept of Lifestyle Design, which preaches that you can create the life you want while doing work that feeds your soul, has made a huge impact on my life.
My hope is that this blog will inspire you to be your best self as we grow your business together.
Here’s a brief bio on me. I was born in Ecuador to a Colombian mother and a Texan father. Spanish was my first language. In the late 90s I learned about this new thing called “the world wide web” and since I had already been active on CompuServe (yes, I’m a dinosaur), it made sense to explore that. I fell madly in love with the web and have spent the last two decades learning, marketing, designing and playing in all its digital glory.
Aside from all things web-related, I’ll blog about subjects I’m passionate about: creative writing, fine art, martial arts, physical fitness, clean eating, alternative health, emotional intelligence, the laws of attraction and pet parenting.
In case you are wondering about the name, Webdetta, I’ve had it for over a decade as my personal handle on social media. I was inspired by the movie, V for Vendetta. I just substituted the Ven with Web and voila! I guess you could say I have a vendetta against bad digital marketing. I know, that was bad.
The arrow in my logo also has a double meaning–it’s pointing up for growth and it’s also a bit of a devil’s tail because I do tend to get cheeky sometimes.
I look forward to hearing your comments and learning how we can serve you better.
